Hobe Sound's Holiday Season Starts at a Farm Stand and Peaks on One December Weekend

November 5, 2026

Most of Hobe Sound's holiday season happens on a handful of dates. The first stretch starts the day after this post goes live. The farm stand at 1425 SE Bridge Road begins handing out reserved Fraser firs on Friday, November 13, and holds its Country Christmas Night Market that same evening. The second stretch runs from Thursday, December 3, through Sunday, December 6. Those four nights include a 29th-year choral production, a library craft day and the 40th Annual Hobe Sound Christmas Parade.

Tree pickup at Hobe Sound Farms ends on November 29, nearly a week before the parade on December 5.

The Tree Window Closes Before the Parade Begins

Hobe Sound Farms has been taking Fraser fir reservations since October 3. The presale ends Thursday, November 12. Reserving before then gets 10 percent off and a free ornament. Pickup runs at the farm stand seven days a week from November 13 through November 29. That covers Thanksgiving week and ends on the Sunday after.

The farm's posted discounted prices go up steadily through the mid sizes, then nearly double at the top:

Tree size Discounted price
Table top $49.50
5' to 6' $99.00
6' to 7' $117.00
7' to 8' $135.00
8' to 9' $153.00
9' to 10' $207.00
10' to 11' $382.50

From 5 feet up to 9 feet, each extra foot adds $18. The next foot adds $54. The last one adds $175.50, so the 10- to 11-foot tree costs nearly twice the 9- to 10-foot one. In a living room with standard ceilings, that difference is easy to skip. In a home with a double-height great room, it is the biggest number on the chart.

Friday Night on Bridge Road

Something is happening every day of the opening weekend. The Country Christmas Night Market runs Friday, November 13, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the farm, with local vendors, food trucks, live music and Santa. The farm's Nights on the Farm page lists Smokey Jones and The 3 Dollar Pistols as the headliner, with Samantha Russell opening. Tree pickup starts that same day, so you can collect a reserved fir and stay for the music in one trip.

The next afternoon, Saturday, November 14, Hobe Sound Bible Church holds its annual Fall Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. It is free and open to all ages. The farm's weekend farmers market also continues on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same Bridge Road address. That market keeps Bridge Road busy every weekend in November, well after the Night Market crowd has gone.

If you are driving in from the north for the Night Market, check the I-95 schedule first. FDOT's Treasure Coast traffic report for October 23 to 30 lists two lanes closed in each direction overnight between SE Bridge Road and the Martin/St. Lucie county line through Tuesday, November 24. Southbound closures start at 7:30 p.m. and northbound at 8:30 p.m. Both windows overlap the back half of a 6-to-10 p.m. market.

Four Nights in December, Built Around One Afternoon

Once tree pickup ends on November 29, the calendar has a few open days. Then the events come close together. The 40th Annual Hobe Sound Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 5, at 1 p.m., and the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce is taking 2026 entry applications now. Several other events surround the parade:

  1. Thursday, December 3. Hobe Sound Bible Church opens its 29th Annual Singing Christmas Tree. This year's production, "A Thrill of Hope," is directed by Brandon Mills. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7. It runs about an hour and a half. Admission is free, and a free-will offering is taken each evening.
  2. Friday, December 4. Hobe Sound Public Library, 10595 SE Federal Highway, holds a drop-in, self-guided DIY Holiday Gift Tags craft from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Singing Christmas Tree's second performance is that evening.
  3. Saturday, December 5. The parade steps off at 1 p.m. The 7 p.m. production leaves time for dinner between the two.
  4. Sunday, December 6. The Singing Christmas Tree's final night.

Groups of 25 or more can reserve seats for the production by calling the church office at 772-546-5696.

The 40th parade is a hometown event in the plainest sense, and last year's award list shows it. These are the 2025 winners posted on the Chamber's parade page:

  • Best Overall: Preston Contemporary Dance Theater & Merritt Chiropractic
  • Judges Choice: Jenkins Landscape & Just Dance
  • Most Humorous: Hobe Sound Bunco
  • Best Marching: South Fork High School Band
  • Most Original: 3 Natives Hobe Sound
  • Best Hobe Sound History: Apollo School

A dance studio, a chiropractor, a landscaper, a bunco group and a smoothie shop all won something. The parade has a Best Hobe Sound History category, which means one award goes to an entry about the town itself. Neighbors build the floats and neighbors line the route.

After that weekend, the next dated event is on Friday, December 18. First United Methodist Church of Hobe Sound, 10100 SE Federal Highway, hosts a Parents Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m. Children ages 3 to 11 get games, Christmas crafts and supper. Preregistration is required, and the listing mentions a $10 donation per child. That is a week before Christmas, when many families still have shopping and wrapping to do.

The Corridor Is Changing Under the Season

The season also lines up with the scheduled start of an FDOT project that will reshape the town's main north-south road. The same October 23 traffic report says the 5.105-mile US 1 SUN Trail and resurfacing project, running from south of SR A1A/SE Dixie Highway to Osprey Street, "will begin October 2026." The project includes:

  • a 12-foot shared-use paved trail for pedestrians, bicyclists and other non-motorized users
  • new sod along the roadway
  • milling and resurfacing
  • upgraded drainage, signs and pavement markings
  • replacement curbs, gutters and sidewalks

The listed cost is $16 million, and completion is estimated for Summer 2028. When the report was issued, all lanes were open.

FDOT's project page adds detail about the trail. It runs from Bridge Road to Osprey Street, and the plan includes sidewalk to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. If the Summer 2028 estimate holds, this holiday season and next will both happen alongside the work. The 2028 parade would then be the first with a finished trail running north from Bridge Road. FDOT posts lane-closure updates at d4fdot.com, and the weekly report says to check there before driving.

Where the Calendar Goes Quiet

The holidays also close some places. Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island posts regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, with last entry at 4:15. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Those are the days many households host visiting family and look for an outing. The Nature Conservancy's page also shows a hurricane-closure notice, so check it before you go.

The library's event page still carries an older note about a branch closure for upgrades. Call the branch before going on December 4.

Taken together, Hobe Sound's season looks like this:

  • A tree reserved by November 12
  • Picked up by November 29
  • A Friday night on Bridge Road in mid-November
  • Four evenings and one Saturday afternoon in early December
  • Blowing Rocks closed on four of the busiest family days
  • A US 1 trail and resurfacing project with an estimated Summer 2028 finish
